Volvo V50 Bilstein B8 with stock springs

Hi, i just bought a used V50 and the existing shock absorbers and bushings need replacement. I was thinking of the bilstein b6 but unfortunately its not in stock where i am and takes a couple of weeks to order. There are bilstein B8 in stock, would they be suitable for use with the stock springs?
