Gentlemen, I'm pretty sure I have a cracked/warped head on my "newest" Volvo.

It's a 2004 V70 T5 - which means it has the high pressure turbo-charged 2.3 liter engine.

My question is this: Can I swap a head from a different engine onto this engine?

Are the heads from any of the older T5s compatible? Any other engines?

Don't know the answer to your question but your car has CVVT (constant velocity valve timing) and a gear for that on the exhaust side (close to the timing belt on the upper side)... I would think the new head would have to have that as well and not sure if that can just be swapped or if the head itself has mounting holes etc. for that. Older cars that don't have this would be tricky at best to fit.
