Front right brake locking up

Yeah, the cores are gone. It seems that this was going on before the new caliper. I just did the usual suspect thing and changed out the caliper(cheap). I believe the caliper to be good, I do. I took the ABS coil pack off of the hydraulic block solenoids and that wheel does not release. All other wheels are unaffected. I once again released the pressure on the caliper at the bleeder valve after removing the block and then applied the brakes only to have it lock up again. I'm now wondering if the hydraulic block return solenoid is stuck and I need just a new block. I just read about the issue of compressing the cylinder fluid back to the reservoir and dirty fluid causing "valves" to fail/stick. He did do this but that was months and months ago with no issues. The mystery continues

Found a used hydraulic block for $50 but it's one number off. Mine is 10.0208-0712.2 and theirs is 10.0208-0711.2. Keep in mind this is just the hydraulic block number. If needed I may be able to swap over the pump if the block is the same. It's hard to find info with these type Volvo numbers...

Installed! Brakes bled out at all four corners. No more seized wheel! ABS light out! The only issue that "turned up" is the STC light is on on the switch but won't deselect. We ran the car through its paces getting in the brakes good and hard and the system works as it should.

Just as a note, on the hydraulic block the solenoids have different numbers but the same markings (a pattern of lines radially) except the center two. This block has 12 solenoids. Bottom line were back to driving!

Good to know. The STC light can be pressed for 2 sec. I disable it when I need to spin the wheels in snow

If the STC light is on I think that means no STC, doesn't it?

The STC light does turn off with a 2 sec hold.
