Hey guys/gals. I was moving my battery atound and cleaning stuff when I noticed this on my T5R. Its looks like a solid tube coming from the bottom side of the car. I pushed it up towards the battery a bit. It opens up when the engine is runing and has vaccum. I can hear a slight (suction to it) when engine is idling. I looked around and cant seem to find where it goes into.
Help.
I have no check engine light or codes.
Thanks everyone

That's one of the lines to the evap canister.

Ok. Great.
I need to know how to get it plug there. It looks like there is an elbow missing on it.
Is the evap canister located on the drivers side in the fenderwell area?

It should be below that battery back toward the wheel. It is easiest to get to it from the bottom side of the car but you can't really see the top of it well without a "mirror on a stick".

Ok. I found the problem. Both vaccum lines were disconnected.
I see that the purge valve has two vaccum lines connected. One coming from the top side of intake manifold to purge valve, then purge valve has a elbow connected to a hard plastic tube line....where does that one connect to??Image
Sorry for my ignorance.

The line from the valve goes to the evap canister, and the evap canister is connected to the gas tank. :) These were disconnected on my car as well, for a long time, I'd say, with no codes or anything. But they should definitely be put in order.

It's really strange that you don't get any codes with the EVAP hoses open to air.

P0455 codes are easy to get rid of, of course. ( dons flame suit)

Same thing on my '96. That hose had a hole in it to the point where it was only barely holding together, but no codes.
