There is a service in the UK called "EDT Automotive" who uses a machine they codesigned with a company called LSI International in Florida that heats up a soy based cleaner and reverse pumps it through the engine, filtering the sediment out to 3 microns, doing this for about 20 minutes. I'm curious if anyone has had it done to their Volvo.
I sent an email to them asking for a list of companies offering the service in New England, but no response. Might help with clogged sump screens, although I think not the PCV system.

This sounds like the same system used in one of the Wheeler Dealer episodes, where the results on a relatively modern car were quite good and the presenter Edd China is really enthusiastic about it. I have not seen it elsewhere though so not sure whether it has caught on.
