Programming a 2010 V50

I have a 2010 Volvo V50.

I want to know what software and what cable I would need to change functionality and features on my Volvo.

Things like daytime running lights, and the like.

Also, I would want to know what things that I can change, or add to my vehicle.

At the very least you would need VIDA and a DICE setup. Look around here for those. There are a lot of posts and a lot of reading to familiarize yourself with how all of this works. You can download the VIDA but the DICE unit and cables are being bought from off of eBay (Chinese knock-offs) for the least amount of money and some are good and others are not- so you have to be careful and because they come from China, it takes awhile to get to you. Next, you will have to ask questions of how to do all of what you want to do and get the right answers. I've never used one of theses, so I really can't help you there. Last of all, you will have to buy a subscription from VOLVO- maybe a 3 day deal to get all of the stuff done you're wanting to get done. Bottom line is for the smaller things you are wanting to do, you're probably better off just paying the dealer unless you want to keep the VIDA/DICE setup for a while and keep using it for such things as repair data base, part numbers, etc. What all it can do? I'm not sure- you can replicate a key code and enable one (maybe)- you can add an upgraded stereo or other accessories...turn on/off lights... other than that, I'm really not sure.
