I attached a picture of the delta link. Notice how the rubber piece pushed all the way back to the bolt hole. Pressing the new one back in actually moved the rubber insert towards the bushing, so it did not fully seat into the trailing arm. Anyway it is better than before because the bushing was totally shot and I could move the wheel and the play ruined the tire.
Maybe it was a cheap replacement. Interesting that I got it for $38 dollars from Autoparts International in NH. Calling around NAPA wanted $89.00, Advanced auto parts $179.00, Volvo dealer $220.00, and the Autoparts International store in MASS wanted $92.00. Go figure.
