850 strange place for an oil leak
Oil seeps up from the bottom and fills the hole in about an hour. Looks like someone tried to fix it with JB weld, but didn't get enough in. In the picture the oil has been cleaned off and only JB weld is left. I've replaced the PCV system.

That is odd...I have that hole but it bottoms out and no oil comes up from there....has the cam cover been replaced on this car with a non-turbo one? Btw, a rubber stopper like used in chemistry would do better...tie it down with the bolt hole on the side with something stiff over it to hold the stopper in place- still it might melt some so finding a good alternative to the weld would do you better- still odd. JB weld ain't going to hold. Then again, with proper PCV functionality, you might stop seeing the oil seep up.

I think Volvo made a stopper for that hole, but check out this thread: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 8&start=30 for a DIY.

It overheated sometime in the past, hole in the radiator. According to the service records, the head gasket was replaced, so this would have had to come off. It looks like it is either cracked or has a hole in it, that the JB weld is covering up.

It could certainly just be that the gasket/sealant for the cam cover is either damaged or wasn't applied correctly. If it's leaking in the right place, that would do it.
