1994 940 sedan with turbo ac recharge problems

Post by tompburke »

I bought an ac pro recharge canister, the connector will not fit on the pressure valve off the canister. Is that the low pressure port? Do I need an adapter valve? I called company and they said that is the valve and it should fit. It is a r134a system. HELP???

Normally installed here, when AC is running (turned on)

On that year model the fill valve is a high side system valve and is only used by factory. It is not the standard service port as fitted later.

If it has a GM dryer with low pressure switch...one could remove low pressure switch, and fill this way with AC running and switch by-passed.

Otherwise, suck it down, have a jug of R-134, with gauge lines purged, and then let liquid run into high side with engine off.
