I recently installed Bosch euro pads up front and Mintex reds on the rear. They don't grab as well as OEM up front, but I haven't had to clean the wheels since last install! Really enjoying that. Also, they were 1/2 the cost of OEM. It's rare I have to come to a quick stop though.

Over the years, I've noticed even with the OEM pads that it's necessary to really apply the force to stop quick. IOW, the brake assist seems light. I wonder if that could be a vacuum leak?
