antenna not moving properly '94 850

did a search and found a guy with a similar problem. he replaced the mast. but somewhere i read that when an antenna won't telescope properly it's just a small wheel inside the unit. anybody ever heard of that and what is the wheel called? thanks

You need a new mast

Easy fix to replace the mast, I supervised my daughter when she was 16 on this fix prior to turning the car over to her. Order one through FCP Groton (Sponsor at top of page).
