Mishimoto?

Post by kippster41493 »

Anyone have any experience with this brand? I'm looking at replacing my coolant hoses because they are old and expanding and I just want to get the silicone honestly for the looks. Was peaking around on Amazon and found this set, don't know anything about the brand though.

I understand Mishimoto makes solid radiators although I haven't heard anything about the quality of their silicone hoses.

If it were me I would give those a try.

I have their intercooler hoses and they are tight but if you trim the inside layer to a conical shape with a sharp razor, they give in and slide over the piping. You won't have much luck if you don't trim unless you put them in hot water minutes before installation which I didn't try. I also reused stock clamps without issues so far (12psi).
Oh, and by the way, oil the lip of the hose either a drop or spray a bit of WD40 to make the job easier.

EDIT: I saw the previous reply from PolskaMafia talking about cooler hoses but anyway the silicone hoses I have are very well built so I wouldn't hesitate to get the coolant ones.
