There was no s70r :) but yes, the thickest ones came on the R and T5 models.

The paint splotch is unambiguous for sizing front sways. Your s70 base almost certainly has a red one, take a look.

This got me to thinking (Finally! And a first!), so I just went to look. I have a spare red one in the garage, cheap, PM me if interested.

I removed the red bar at 180k when I installed a yellow bar into that car (was engine swapping). Bushings are intact and they were working fine when I removed it.

For a 20mm bar it's probably a real good bet. And pretty cost effective. Like I mentioned, I really need to get new subframe bushings in there (Proparts wasn't good to me...) and spend the OEM price for them! So saving the $119 really helps out.
There are all difference sizes bushings you can buy.

Just don't get the greaseable ones.

Have a 850 1992 and changed the rubbers 3 times. They don`t hold for that long time.
Changed to newer model where the rubbers are vulcanized on. That will last long time.

Remember that we in the mid 1990`s changed stabilizer from loose rubbers to vulcanized ones.

I didn't know that the original model had replaceable bushings! Makes sense. Thanks for the lesson, jantt. The more I think about it, the more I think the Volvo model seems pretty solid. The rubber can last a pretty long time in almost every case.

It was only for the first models it was a lose bushing. From 1994 it was vulcanized.

Yours should look like this : http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/60841/S ... m-9173982/

If yours is with lose bushing like this (and I don`t think so) then change to vulcanized bar. http://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/3 ... 46730-M793
