Hello, new to the site but not that new. I've been lurking for a while now, Just never registered.
So I have an 1995 volvo 850 glt wagon N/A
My issue is my door locks have taken on some gremlins and do what they want when they want.
Basically they lock and unlock themselves while I'm driving. Or when I shut a door with the car off.
Usually when the car is off and I shut the door they just lock and stay locked.
Going down the road though they will randomly lock/unlock randomly. Sometimes it's nonstop.
I've done a little reading on this issue but not sure where to start.
I'm guessing it's in the wiring harness at this point because it seems to like to do it when I hit dips/bumps.
But not always.
I'm considering just removing the relay altogether. But I'd like to know if I should look at something specific before I do this.
From what I have read, removing the relay will have no adverse affects besides not being able to lock all the doors at once?
Thanks for any insight into this issue.

I'd suspect a malfunctioning relay. Have you swapped that relay out for a known good one?

No I don't have a spare, but I was looking at the alarm relay as a possible swap.
Looking at a diagram they appear to be similar.
