Hard time finding parts

Post by S40Luckey »

OK, got the car running well, and the upsolute tune working.....except for the Connector that holds the brake booster vacuum hose to the intake. THe "gasket" and clip disintegrated when I had to replace the booster hose. The plastic was vERY brittle and old.

Does anyone know the part numbers so that I can tell the VOlvo parts guy? He looked at me like I was mentally deranged or something.

There was a small rubber gommet inside the intake (which fell apart in chunks, and the clip to hold the hard-tube to the intake. Both aren't working

Thanks!

Mark

On other posts, I have mentioned this source to check for parts number for my twin 850s', I assume it should work for you. Volvopartswebstore.com, which is a Chicago suburb Volvo dealership (Oak Park, IL). I use this source for verification of a part number, and sometimes fit. Good luck.

OK, I spent some time looking for the receiving end clips and grommets on several websites similar to the one above. I can't find the parts.

The part number for the vacuum tube is 30620958. The end of this part that fits into the intake has a retainer/clip, and there's a grommet (or a rubber gasket) that fits into the intake that receives the vacuum tube. The clip is losse and the grmmet has disintegrated. I now I have a rather large vacuum leak.

The website does not show the retainer or the grommet part, and the closest Volvo dealer is 2.5 hours hours from here. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks again,

Mark

Nobody? Well, I guess a drill/tap for a permanent barb-end fitting, trim the tube and use silicone hose to connect the two it is!

Thanks!
