The shade cover is hard to move, any one knows why?

Thanks for the youtube link. Mine has rattle which I believe is due to worn sunroof track plastic guides. Always assumed it was pita to replace.

Just made a video out of it, I don't know if the four plastic guides are available at the main dealer without replacing the whole sunshade

You have to change the guides. They are pretty pricey for such small piece so it's worth checking how many you need. Looking at your videos, make sure to not to move the shade anymore! The scratching sound is from damaging the car rails. Your plastic end pieces on the guides broke and the metal piece damages the car rails.

The change is pretty straightforward. You can do it in 30 minutes. I changed mine a week ago. You can find a nice tutorial in this thread https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 72#p414872 and I added a few pictures from my S60.

Replace all four, plastic becomes brittle over years, right? Also you will likely need new "modesty panels", because old ones will tear when you try to remove them.
