Hello,
I disconnected the negative battery cable and now my readiness monitor shows that the evap system is incomplete.
I have been driving the car for hundreds of miles and it still will not complete. The driving includes highway and city driving.
Any suggestions or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated since i have to take the vehicle for inspection soon.
Thank you.

If it is only the EVAP monitor, google EPA readiness and you will find you can pass inspection with one monitor not ready.
Make sure your inspector knows this before you inspect so you can proceed cleanly.

The EVAP cycle can take a long time to set, my record is 2000 miles. It is picky as to the drive conditions

And it may always stay not ready
As was stated you are allowed ONE (1) "Not ready", so if that's all you have go and get your sticker, it will pass.
