Intake banjo bolt

I have spent the past 2 hours trying to install the banjo bolt to my intake from the top of the engine, a blind or by feel job everything is attached except this bolt and tightening the manifold. Pleas help with suggestions. 2002 Volvo S60 2.4 T3

Well I broke down and took the p/s pump loose and moved the alternator to get to a place where I could get my grubby paws to the banjo bolt

That's a brutal one, indeed.

I installed it on the manifold before I installed the manifold onto the car after fighting it for 30 minutes

Yeah just did this on my 2001 T5 last week.

I didn't screw the manifold down; only had the bottom bolts for the manifold on the head and had the PS pump removed. Also removed the cooling hose from the thermostat housing then when I had 3 turns on the banjo bolt I connected the cooling hose then hung the manifold properly. It was still difficult and I dropped the bolt twice.
