I am going to buy the OEM muffler (Volvo p/n 9470673) I was pricing earlier this year and it looks like the costs are up about $130 from all suppliers. Anybody have any leads for low cost?
Thanks,
John Gregory

As you don't state the price, I have no idea what you are expecting. The FWD mufflers are in the $350 range, but the AWD is in the $500 range for
OE Volvo. Cheapest was these guys but then you have to add shipping.

If shipping is a lot FCP may be a better bet as they have I believe, free shipping over $49 US in the lower 48 states. There price is around $500.
There are a couple of aftermarket units on Ebay for around $225-250.
I have noticed a lot of prices for older Volvo model parts have gone up significantly over the last 1-2years.

Thanks for the input, everyone.
I was seeing oem mufflers for $375 earlier this year. Looks like it will be $500 now.
I'm currently keeping 3 Volvos (S80, V70XC, and 244DL(rusty backup)) and a Buick Rendezvous running for the family. This past month was 2 thermostats (S80 and Buick) and a new set of snows on the S80 (daughter goes to school in the Keewanaw). It's always something! lol 2 daughters..., my car (V70) always seems to be the lowest priority)
Thanks!
