97 GLT transmission compatibility?

1997 - 2004 C70

Does this trans fit 850t with gearing the same?

A 95-98 turbo/T5 transmission is the same gearing and speed sensor design - so, a direct swap.

Thanks. I found one @ the Pic-n-pull from a 25k Volvo, cleanest one I have ever seen, complete car one day then 2 days later stripped pretty bare but trans is on the ground and looks brand new, not a speck of dirt or grease on it. The entire car looked to be brand new, aside from minor body injury. Maybe for someone, it's in Roanoke VA, unless I am highly motivated. Engine gone in entirety. Engine compartment factory clean. Crazy to have missed seats, etc.

I was under the impression that the 95's have a different speed sensor location. 96 and up receive their speed signal from the ABS sensors, I believe, while the 95's have a VSS plug on the transmission.

PNP price is 130 bucks so might be hard to pass up. Have to pull axles, subframe, etc. Of course I don't need a transmission, but since when has needing a part interfered with my buying one I "might" need at some point in the future? I'm picking this car clean of everything that remains, period. I'll never find parts as nice again in a lifetime.
