'94 850 turbo vacuum hose

Post by crq »

just redid my vent pipes on the 850. one of the 1/2 inch pipes coming off of the oil separator box that goes 90 degrees around the distributor end terminates into the large fresh air intake pipe at the firewall. there is a small apparatus where it ends with a rubber boot that has an electrical connection on it and a vacuum hose coming into the top. that is one of the vacuum hoses they recommend that you replace when you do the vent pipes. why do that since that vac hose does not continue air flow (no opening) into the rubber booted apparatus which does open into the large fresh air intake? thanks

If I understand your question right....even if it says "vacuum" hose, it breaths both ways depending on boost or vacuum....hope this helps.
