91 940SE Turbo oil smoke

Upon starting blue smoke rolls out the exhaust. Also when decelerating, I'm not sure if my turbo has gone toes up or what. There is no oil in the neck of the turbo where the intercooler hose fits. It might be the rings have failed. I let some fool work on it who changed the engine, long story short, $2000.00 later I have a piece of - - - -.

What was done to the engine?Maybe you have bad oil seals

Well, OOWJ I don't think this clown did anything but put a used engine in my car. From the trouble I have had with it I don't think he put any thing new on it (ie; water pump, oil pump, front and rear main seals). So, if you mean did he put new valve seals on it , probably not. I had the turbo rebuilt here in Nashville last summer so I hope it is still good. Do you think a head rebuild is needed? Thanks for your reply.

Blue smoke worned rings,is the turbo making funning sounds.Redblocks go for a very long time.My 1993 940 turbo smoke a little ,found out it had bad turbo seals.These turbos need very good oil,and change alot because for the high turbo temps.I used Auto-Rx and it help,I allso run Maxlife 10-30.This oil seem to hold up beter.
