i want to retrofit my a/c system to r-134a but i want to be sure where the lower service valve is before tampering can ne1 tell me where it is located?

btw its an 87 240 dl sedan, b230f engine

Converting the A/C system from R12 to R134a is not just a simple job of removing the R12 and installing R134a because the two refrigerants and lubricants are not compatable. The system has to be totally flushed, purges, the correct oil added, the system evacuated and drawn into a complete vacuum and then the R134a added. I would also recommend that the receiver drier be replaced.

Even though I am a mechanic special tools are needed and I would recommend using an A/C shop for the conversion
