Transmission Fluid?

just got my 1998 S70 Turbo.
woud like to do the flush in the forum.

Completly confused,Volvo,Detron 111,Mob.

Which is the correct fluid?

Dextron III is the correct spec for your 4 speed trannie.

Yes, true....but you can use Mobil-1 Synthetic ATF without issue (many of us are using it)...may actually be a better alternative because it is synthetic and will probably last longer before breaking down.

Any issues with leaks using synthetic?

Also can I use the method on this site for flushing.IE-drain tranny

approx 3 to 4 quarts refill with synthetic?run 500 miles repeat till clean.

Have had no leaks with the synthetic. Not sure about a drain and fill with synthetic when regular ATF is in there....but don't think it will hurt.
