DTC P0715 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
I was driving while on Economy mode I noticed the indicator lights on the buttons for Winter/Wet and Economy drive modes are flashing back and forth, consistently, nonstop. And on the dash, the Winter/Wet indicator light (up arrow) is on, but not flashing. I decided to stop to the nearby Gas Station, shut the engine off and maybe check transmission fluid and the level is OK.
I started the car and (up arrow) indicator light is gone but shows Check Engine, and the worst thing was THE Car doesn't move on any gear that end up towing it. I checked few fuses and connected the Car Reader that resulted the trouble code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Bill

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

That code can come in one of two ways.

The first is a faulty sensor. It is mounted in the transmission housing.

The second is one I have only recently heard about - transmission fluid needs changing. How long is it since that was done? Is the fluid a nice bright red colour or is it dirty and smelling of burning?

The transmission was serviced 2 mos. ago, and fluid is normal.
Thank you for your reply, and looking forward for more.

Thanks again,
Bill

If it was serviced two months ago check the leads to the sensor, they may have been disturbed.
