S40 A/C problem

Hi,
I have an S40, 2003 model which have a problem with ac. the ac button come on and off but it does not engage the compressor when switching it on and off. I have tried the fuses they are fine and tried to connect the compressor direct its working.. Please assist on this regards.

Perhaps the A/C system needs more refrigerant.

I have put in the refrigerant/gas, the system does not engage the compressor.

The compressor will not run in temperatures below 32 degrees F.
But looking at your location, that's not likely the issue.
