Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Ditto... Either get yours rebuilt by triple edge or roll the dice (take a chance) and buy a used gearbox from a preferred rear ended wreck.

Technically they both use the GM 4T65 transmission however the final drive ratio is different from the turbo to the non turbo.

Ratios vary as per this table:
Automatic transmission
Gear ratios:
Engine: B 6284T B 6294S
1st gear 2.92:1 3.27:1
2nd gear 1.57:1 1.76:1
3rd gear 1.00:1 1.12:1
4 th gear 0.70:1 0.79:1
5 th gear
Reverse 2.38:1 2.67:1
Final
drive 3.29:1 3.69:1

What is the problem with the ratio?Low max speed.Main problem is with the control module i think. My ECU will not read the 4T65EV.

ECUs don't read the transmission. They read the speed sensors and any other sensors that report how fast the car is going relative to engine speed.

If the speed sensors report a different road speed relative to engine revs than your car is meant to report you will get transmission fault codes and the car will go into transmission limp mode.

You could try the S80 non turbo TCM (trans control module) The car may work fine when paired up with the correct transmission.

The best thing to do may be to rebuild my transmission.

Yes apparently many of the repairs on this transmission can be done while it is still attached to the car. You could look up here and on Swedespeed as there are many tutorials about this topic.
