What is in the OEM brake pads? 2004-V70

Post by sony2000 »

I'm under the impression that they are 100% carbon. And that a lot of after market pads are the metallic pads. It costs less to add metallic bits and pieces in the mix. They are marketed as lasting longer than the carbon pure, but boy do they heat up the discs and take them that much closer to warping. A lot said. Any ideas?

Yeah...put up with the OEM pads...they are better for your rotors. If like me, you have excessive dust, wax your wheels and wipe them off once a week.
