If my salvage yard trips dont trip me up, that hose is emissions and might have a valve sensor that is clamped to it. Likely why it's costly?
Spread the clamps off, and piece in a section of hose that will not kink.
The internet hostility is rather elevated in this thread, hope all settles down soon.
