That would have been a tube-based radio, which takes up some space, and generates heat, which most likely, is the reason for its placement on top side of refrigerator.Silvershield82 wrote:that's an innovation at that time
Someone I know who Cooks at home, full meals, has a sound box on top of fridge, with smartphone plugged into it.
Hence, this idea was relevant then, and even now, if a person prepares "real meals" at home. With a Bose Wave® radio IV, this would be ideal for cooking.
