Hi Tsquared,
Could you kindly post instructions on how you cleaned your MAF sensor?
I also used a K&N panel filter but have gone back to stock paper due to my concern about the K&N oil getting on the MAF wires and thereby affecting it's performance.
Thanks,
Geevs

scantool.net looks like the software is free, and they sell the connection hardware... is that what you get from the site Geevs?
If so, I'll try it out, since I have the hardware.

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Hi Matt,
I don't have any OBD-II scantool yet but have been searching the Net for one.
Yes, I suggested you try the free and evaluation software from the sites above with your existing OBD-II interface and see if it works. The software from the obd-2.com website looks horrendous. The Digimoto looks very user-friendly. The German one from wgsoft.de looks nice, too, but is in German. I am basing my impressions from the screenshots on their websites.
Let us know how it goes.

This is from memory tainted by quite a few glasses of red wine...
I disconnected the intake to airbox hose. Disconnected the MAF connector plug wire. Used my Dremel to smooth the sides of the non-tamper screws so a 3/8 open end would work on them. Removed the sensor. I then used an acid brush and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to clean up the sensor and the waffle grill. I then used a low-pressure air hose (20 lb) to blow off the excess fluid. Let them dry out fully (cleaned K&N filter and re-oiled) and reinstalled. While I had all of this apart I also cleaned my flame trap, flame trap elbow hose, and all the parts of the intake up to the intake manifold itself.
Alcohol works wonders and the effects are not that bad. And it can also be used to clean up your intake
