Thank you, it will sell eventually I'm sure. I kind of expected that it could take a while.
I sold my old 97' 850 GLT with close to 280k. Same thing, it ran without problems because I always babied it. My indie mechanic bought it from me for his son and he tells me that it is still running great.

Yep.
I am actually talking to someone who is seriously interested right now. It may sell sooner than I thought

Yeah, live is not the same without the 850 in the driveway
I think this was a fair deal for both the buyer and myself.
Prior to the sale I replaced the front and rear brakes since they were in really sad shape. I had the fronts already laying on the shelf, so the only cost was for the rears. I went with Meyle rotors and ATE pads for about $90, not bad.
However when I did the brakes I noticed the outer CV axle boots were torn on both sides, but only a minor amount of grease had escaped. I felt bad selling the car like this and offered to buy new axles. The seller agreed to pay for the labor which ended up being $200. I bought Cardone Select axles for $140 from Rockauto, which are brand new Chinese units, not rebuilts. They actually looked like they were decent quality and installed just fine.
I ended up getting the asking price for both the car and the snow tires, and lost $220 for extra parts.
Not bad at all I think.

I'd imagine the chances of getting a seller like you is about 1.5%... Congrats on getting your asking price, and for putting in a little extra work before parting with her. A great deal for your buyer! I haven't ever sold a car I cared about so it's reassuring to know some care enough about the next owner to go out of their way to make stuff right. (I did a whole front end rebuild on my Altima because I want to give it to my neighbor sometime this summer...And will replace the front brakes before handing it off. Why wouldn't you do stuff like that, you know?) Remind me to buy my next car from you!
We're those Meyle rotors cheaper than the good Centrics? I don't overthink axles like some, I picked up a pair of Duralast gold's on sale for around $90 and will use them them when the time comes.
