I'm chasing an intermittent problem on my 850. A couple of times in the last few months it has refused to start.
It has a good battery, turns over well but refuses to catch.
The first time this happened I had it towed to a local mechanic. It sat on their lot for two days, then when they finally "got around to it" they said that they got it started. Of course they recommended new fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, distributor and distributor rotor. Not being made of money and knowing that the fuel filter _could_ be suspect, I had them replace that. Got the car back, lightened my wallet by about $200, and no problems for about 3 months.
This evening, my son who normally drives the car, reported same symptoms. This time, I decided to cut out the towing and repair shop extortion and tried to start it through brute force. Much to my surprise, this worked! With my foot hard on the gas/accelerator, I cranked the starter for a good 30 seconds, after about 5 seconds, it seemed like it was firing a cylinder or two, but I couldn't be sure. However, this is what gave me the confidence to keep cranking. Then, after what seemed a lifetime, she lept to life.
Drove it around the block (4 - 5 miles), brought it home, shut off and restarted without problem. I now have a charger hooked up to the battery to help it recover from the abuse.
Any advice on where to start on this? I suspect without much real knowledge that it's the ignition side; coil, distributor ... ? Your feedback appreciated.

I had the same kind of problem with my 93 850 glt refuse to start but with persistance attitude on cranking it look like a flooded engine everything seem to be normal gas fire ,but the voltage at the tps was little low, I only opened the throttle plate a little with the screw (a little) and now it works no more trouble,,,Bertrand Magny

It sound like the valve a sticking.
to fix it you need to change the oil, plugs and drive the car in low gear
at 5000 to 5500 rpm for 12 min. it get the valve moving and cleans them.
