BOSCH 69693 Electric Fuel Pump Info; In-Tank; Actual OE Part $52.89

I love my usual suppliers, but this deal is too good to pass up... I have a Hella in our car and am going to assume it'll last at least half as long as the OE one.

If you haven't gotten around to it, replace those fuel pumps fellas...

Cross referencing fuel pump numbers, this looks like it would fit my 98 xc70 but i've been fooled before. I know i'm due for a new fuel pump. Anyone more versed in the part numbers replacement care to chime in?

I think XC70 requires cutting the floor board and the OEM is Walbro (I maybe wrong though).

The Rockauto Bosch pump insert came today. For anyone considering it, the deal is still good as of today--$52.79 + $4.99 shipping USPS.
The pump, instructions, and box look like the real deal to me (I used to work in sales in the Bosch power tool line if that means anything). The box just had a little crease across the top.

At that price, I ordered two. Both of my pumps are original to the car, and twenty years of operation is enough to warrant me putting a spare for each car on the shelf for future needs.

:!: DO NOT BUY the above Bosch 69693 for Volvo 850 or S70. It does not fit because the diameter of the plastic barrel on the pump is about 3mm to large to fit in the plastic inner shock assembly on my S70. It is also too long to fit that assembly. It has taken major modification of that assembly to make it work which has turned this job into a huge hassle. I won't know that it will work until I have it all back together. I'm not even going to go into what mods I did because it's too complicated.

FCP lists the Bosch 9438003 as being correct for the 850 and S70. They do list 69693 as being an alternative part number, but I'm here to tell you it won't fit. Maybe it has the same gpm rating (which I hope) but it is for sure made for a different vehicle.

I jumped out too soon on ordering this pump because of the great price, and without doing the proper research. I'm taking a chance because the car is apart and I don't want to wait another week with it down. If I ever do this job again, I will order a complete assembly.

And BTW, 12" of Gates submersible 5/16" fuel line to replace the 5" piece that connects the pump to the outer casing costs $30---which ads insult to injury!

There isn't much documentation but according to this post, Bosch 69693 fits "like a glove" viewtopic.php?t=60613

No. I stated my reasons over in the "Jerky Hesitation" thread. Next time I will just order the correct part from FCP.

I know my 94 850 turbo uses a fuel pump insert with a bigger diameter than a 97 850 turbo uses.
I use DW200 or DW300 for all my fuel pump needs. http://www.deatschwerks.com/

Submersible fuel hose has always been expensive. If it is not expensive, they gave you the wrong hose and I would not use it with the car.
