Decent but cheap floor / bottle jack

Post by qwertyjjj »

My main reason for buying rims was to avoid the twice yearly charge of $65 for tire changing.
Is there a cheap but decent floor jack that i can use for a v70?
I understand bottle jacks probably won't fit underneath.
I saw a powerbuilt jack for about $60 not mixed reviews.
I will only be using it to change tires and maybe work on the lawn mower.

In the US, I use the Harbor Freight 2-ton steel jack ($25) and works great.
After 1 year, it leaks externally, I replaced with a new O-ring and it is perfect now.
I posted the floor jack O-ring DIY in forum.

Since you are in Canada, go to Canadian Tire and get this floor jack, which is exactly the same as the harbor Freight 2-ton floor jack I have at home:

PS:
- Don't ever get under a car supported ONLY by a floor jack, use jack stands.
However, for the purpose of tire rotation, get the tires ready, jack the car up (chock the fore and aft portions of the tire on the other side of the car to prevent rolling), change the tires and done.
- If you ever need O-ring for that jack, send me a PM.
