I did my 2004 T6 and I did not need to remove the A/C or Alternator to get to that bolt holding the intake on. With the right extensions (I have one that is springy) you can slide it right in there. When putting it back together stuff the bolt into the socket with some paper towel so it doesn't drop out into never never land. I also used a long extension on a socket to unscrew the clamp holding the turbo pipe on the intake and went in from the air cleaner side (of course I removed that first) Remove the big pipe (3 hoses) from the car and just blow it out with some carburetor cleaner and compressed air. I broke off the factory clamps and used c-clamps to put it back on.

Putting the turbo pipe back onto the intake can be a pia but pay attention and make sure it is seated properly and the clamp tightened, I had to remove the turbo pipe from the radiator side first to get it onto the intake and then I was able to pop it back onto the radiator side much easier.
