Tonight I received a "over voltage pull over safely" message.
Here's what's been going on:
There has been an intermittent buzz from the drivers side rear door tweeter.
Upper module that controls the sunroof doesn't work (sunroof won't open and the indicator light in that upper module does not work)
To me it seems like there is a ground issue with car, as that intermittent buzz from that tweeter seems to
correspond with other actions taking place in the car (shifting, braking, hard turns etc) but it is not predictable.
My question... is this "over voltage" message likely to be caused by a ground issue or a bad alternator/regulator/Battery?
also if anyone has any experience with an 'over voltage' message I'd love to hear about it...
thanks,
Daniel

Overvoltage as a message there is for supply voltage being too high. This is a voltage regulator issue. The VOltage regulator may not be available and you may have to replace the alternator to address this.
I am taking it to my mechanic tomorrow.
I didn't see any other signs of an alternator problem. No flickering lights, car started fine etc
are there any signs (besides the message) that the alternator or regulator may be going bad?
