I wouldn't consider anything else but 16 or 17"...but that's your choice.
15 " are so obsolete and the size of the car just eat them up.Even 16" wheels looks a bit small considering the size if the car.
17" suits these cars the best.

DO NOT PUT A 50 SERIES TIRE ON
There was a reason Volvo officially changed the size.
First you may start bending or even breaking a wheel,
The ride will be rougher
That tire looks small and is under tired and is really too small for the car

What do you mean by obsolete?
So the best tires of those 2 i listed are the pirelli 205 55 16s? just throw those on my set of meteors and call it a day?

What tires do you recommend, 195 60 15 or 195 65 15s? over the 205 55 16?

JRL is probably saying don't use 50 series. A 55 series would be fine.
My NA cars have run 195 60 15 tires forever. While 15 inch wheels are not especially sporty they are in no way obsolete or too small for the car. I think misha is referring to how they look, not to how they function. And there is definitely no fault in using 195 65 15, just know the speedo will be lying a little (when it says 65 mph, you are really going 67 mph), and with the large sidewall they will not quite handle as responsively. I would rank these as met third choice, to be honest. The other two are tired for first place, maybe a slight preference for the 16s for me. If you want comfort and longevity then go with the 15s, if you want a more sporty look at the sacrifice of a very small amount of comfort then go with the 205 55 16, really it comes down to preference. If you save a few bucks one way or the other then factor that in too. If it was a car my wife and kids drive a lot I would go with 195 60 15 no question.
My R had 195 60 15 for about 3 years until I wore them out and switched to 16 inch wheels. After the switch to 205 55 16 it handles better at speed but otherwise I hardly notice the difference. The 16 inch wheels do look better.

Changed my tires today, and noticed a big leak of power steering fluid via the lines coming into the thing above the rack.
Im guessing I need this?
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-1282852
Is it worth souring a used one I guess no?
BTW I just used the 16 year old set of https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js ... &tab=Sizes
On antlia rims
No pulling, straight drive. They were balanced already too, So honestly spent 20$ to correct my problem
And thankfully found the steering fluid leak because i feel like that could of gotten worst fast..
Just need to source used or new hoses and put them on.

Did I rear that right ... 16 year old tires?
I'd recommend caution on those. Check them frequently. Even on my two garage queen convertibles which see only 2000 - 3000 miles per year, after about the 10 year mark the rubber starts to harden and wet traction falls off dramatically.

Yeah honestly once i figure out the steering fluid leak problem I may just spend the 400$ on a new set of tires for them, They do ride really nice now no pulling or bouncing, the mfg date is 2001 on them which did worry me too so i may end up ordering a set of Continental or Pirelli tires next week.101 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2017, 10:17 Did I rear that right ... 16 year old tires?

Pirelli P7 AS Plus, have them on the Volvo, and Honda. Great, quiet tires. Ordered them through Walmart (try hard not to often), free shipping to my local store, I think they were 100 bucks a piece, not sure they are available in the sizes you seek. Hope the 15+ year old tires you have were properly stored.

I had heater core lines explode on me in my '98 S70 a year or so ago...just got old. I know that Uro brand is not good typically, by my Volvo mechanic told me that the hoses they make aren't a bad replacement. I saved a lot of money doing this and they have held up fine. I suspect the Uro branded power steering return line would be fine too- especially in an older P80.
EDIT: I don't actually see them offered, although I see Reinz...not sure about them...
On second thought, TASCA has them on sale: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-volvo/1282852 ($86.44).
Get FCPEuro to price match them!!
