if worse comes to worse, I will attempt to repair as per Tech-Net Note 39-35 (Re: Service Bulletin 39-0018 / 39-0025).

However, just presenting these documents will they / should they do the installation under the extended warranty (between 4th and 5th year) program?

I have no idea, but the brass strip factory fix, (that works), is quick and cheap

okay I will pick my battles with the service.
It seems like a project that I can handle, provided I have access to the power amplifier. Can somebody please provide the schematics in order to gain access?
