Re: Passenger sideview mirror repositions itself overnight?
My sis' 03 XC90 mirror and seat position seem to be tied to specific fobs and will auto adjust without touching anything. It seems to want to return seat/mirror positions to a preset preferred position. I haven't quite figured it out myself. She discovered if she leaves he fob in the house and just uses the key (03 the fob was separate) everything stays where she left it. My '06 S60 does not do this, seat/mirror positions never change unless I press one of the memory buttons or adjust things manually. I suspect a software upgrade was performed to the XC that added some functionality that has not been done on my S60. The S60 had no Volvo dealer service entries showing on vehicle history since about 1 year past new. The XC appeared to be serviced almost exclusively at a Volvo dealer and showed quite a few software/reprogramming entries, the last one being just a couple months before she bought it.

i fixed my DDM by swapping out that little Taiko relay, it has stopped the frantic clicking and only clicks on once like it should when any door is opened. I am not using the FOB because i am also doing a rearview mirror swap out so will see if the mirrors behave when using the FOB.
I have been driving the 2001XC for two weeks without a rearview mirror despite people saying the car wouldnt start...not true for my vehicle.
