The washer under the center nut has fold up tabs that are designed to keep the nut from working free from its low torque state. That washer is fairly important.

The washer I had pop up was a very small, thin washer. The washer with the tabs as well as another one are still there.
I'll try to tweak it tomorrow. If not, I think a junkyard PNP is in order. This time I won't tighten it until something breaks!

I bought a PNP from a U-Pull yard yesterday, along with a blower motor and the blower motor ECC power stage. A whopping $17.36 with tax for all three and I saved all of the hardware.

The donor car was sad, it was a perfectly good 850, great black leather interior, 140k on the odometer good engine and transmission and the suspension was great. The reason it was in the junk yard was that the dashboard literally fell off.

Some people just get fed up at one little problem and junk a perfectly good car.
My cousin was ready to have this S70 towed to the scrap yard last month after it blew out a cam seal and left us stranded in middle-of-nowhere Georgia on our way back from Florida. I was fed up too as we had no idea what the problem was at the time, but luckily I talked him out of it. It may have 222k miles and be in less than favorable condition, but it's a solid runner. And it's a T5 for goodness sake.
