I know this topic has been covered on this site, but I need some more insight. I have the adhesive to reglue the Glass to the fabric and the canvas portion of the glass to the fabric as well. Volvo was kind enough to make this a difficult repair with the two types of attachment to the cloth top. Access to the underside of the top is difficult as the headliner is attached to the glass panel with a "zipper" of sorts, but it lacks the piece that you would pull to unzip or rezip it when done. Removing the headliner from the glass would make the rejoining of the two fabric sections so much more effecient and help ensure a permanent repair. Has Anybody had any experience with removing the headliner from the glass by means of the zipper, and how did you rejoin the two parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dave; not quite, but... Go to the Robert Bentley youtube channel, and view the video for replacing beetle convertible top. There is a tool referenced in it that acts as the zipper pull/closer. It might work
