The strange thing is it wasn't consistent cranking of the starter/engine. It sounds like it's trying to make a full revolution, pauses at the same point like the engine is hydro locked on a cylinder and all of the lights dim like the starter is pulling all power from the car (assume it is), but will then continue and did this over and over, seeming to pause at the same exact point every time. It does this once in a great while, but never takes that long to actually start. Only does this when the car is hot as well. It's a nice 85F and about 80-90% humidity is my area today -_-
That sounds like a starter system problem - in roughly decreasing order of probability

Battery is pretty much brand new, about 6 months old.

Cables are in perfect shape, I've checked the whole car more than once. (What I can easily see without ripping the interior apart anyway.)

Starter and Ignition Switch I cannot speak for. Have never had to deal with either and wouldn't really know where to start. Pull the starter and visually inspect it?

My local mechanic suggested I throw a ignition switch at it a little while ago, when I first got the crank code and replaced the sensor long ago, but I'm not a fan of the parts cannon :P I'll go ahead and start with it though, as it's the cheapest and easiest to change. I'll start a new thread if I still have issues from here.

Replaced the ignition switch today. Made no difference.

Going to head to my local mechanic and have him test the current draw on the starter. I don't have an amp meter or testing equipment. I've pinpointed the squeak during startup to the starter, discovered it's only cranking at 400 RPMs when it's having issues, and am only getting interference to the crank sensor during startup when it's struggling.

It also seems to only happen when the starter is warm, but it's also getting very hot. Once the engine is hot and the starter is warm for 10-15 minutes, it gets very hot trying to start the engine back up. When it cold, it starts fine, every time.

Hoping it's just the starter and fairly certain it is.

Starter has been ordered. Found it drawing high amps. Will update when it's installed.

Just got the starter installed today. Seems to have fixed the intermittent hard start.

Made a 3 hour trip and had no issues restarting the car at any of my stops.

Thanks all!
