Under normal driving conditions it drives very well but if accelerate hard it will hesitate/lurch for a millisecond and then full power comes back. It's also random which is annoying. It will do this in drive, manual mode and with traction control on or off. It happens at highway speeds as well and I have also noticed that it will kick in full power/boost and then quickly go to about 80-90% boost even with the pedal on the floor.
Wondering if anyone has had similar issues or there is a known repair for this. Maybe a transmission problem?

Mine had this sort of hesitation when briskly accellerating. A new TCV (turbo control valve) cured it. Was a ten minute job. May not be your problem but worth a try.
Yeah, I've been reading this as well. I will swap out the TCV and report back.Cees Klumper wrote: ↑14 Aug 2017, 14:34 Mine had this sort of hesitation when briskly accellerating. A new TCV (turbo control valve) cured it. Was a ten minute job. May not be your problem but worth a try.

Mine had your cars symptoms as well, also had surging every few seconds under WOT. TCV cleared everything up. JuneLegofan wrote: ↑14 Aug 2017, 17:24Yeah, I've been reading this as well. It doesn't surge it just stalls right after WOT and then back onto power.June wrote: ↑14 Aug 2017, 18:56Mine had your cars symptoms as well, also had surging every few seconds under WOT. Mine also would fall flat on it's face pulling away from a light under moderate acceleration, like it would completely dump all boost 5 seconds into moderate acceleration only. It felt like I completely shut the engine off momentarily then hit the gas hard. I thought the ETM was failing but my mechanic at Volvo replaced the TCV and it fixed it. As far as WOT my mechanic used the word "notching" I figured surging better described it. Keep us posted on what the fix for yours ends up being. June
