Ignition source for boost gauge light 98 v70 t5 Topic is solved

I'm installing a Bosch boost gauge and need to find a 12v ignition wire but don't have access to a wiring diagram any help? Can be for headlights or just plain key on voltage. Would I be able to tap into the CD player wiring? it's aftermarket.

You really have a couple options here.

You could use the dimmer line that comes out of the back of the dimmer switch. You could use a line from the radio.

Do you know what color wire to use from the dimmer switch?

You can access the dimmer's output from accessory connector.

The magic color for dimmer illumination is PINK.
