I think I will just let Autodynamics do the work. I will go over to Bruhin sometime and check out the guy there. Luckily I have an emergency fund for just such things.
It still annoys me that I don't get any CEL codes :?

There are 2 Charlie Smith's there...Charlie #2 (what they call him) who is the guy behind the counter- good guy and Charlie #1 (also known by friends as "the hippie"). He's the owner and real mechanic there who knows our cars very well. Before I learned about how to work on my Volvo's my own, he did all of the maintenance and repair work on our old 850. What I like about Auto Dynamics is that they don't recommend unnecessary repairs, although they will tell you to keep an eye on something if it looks like there could be future issues. Just tell either Charlie that David Emanuel sent you. They know who I am and will take good care of you. Although they don't really open until 8, if you get there by around 7:30, someone will be there and you can get a jump on others just pulling up and trying to drop off their car. Let's hope they aren't too busy- they do stay that way due to their good service and what I understand, Charlie has "the" contract with the city of Knoxville for all of their service vehicles.

Good luck!

Will be getting it in tomorrow. I have to have to towed one more time :( They don't do towing. I'll let you know what I think after I get it back.

I went ahead and did the repair on one of the fuel pump relays I have. I then put it in the car and tried to start it. It started and would only idle. Then I got it to go up to about 3000RPM's. Then it died and threw a P0102 code. I then remembered I had unplugged the MAF(at least that is what I think I disconnected). It is the sensor just after the air filter box on the tube going to the turbo.
I then reconnected it and the car would not start again. After that I cleared the code and could not get another code of any kind.
I also checked and I am still getting gas to the fuel rail.

If it will idle with the MAF unpugged but die when you plug it in, I would suspect the MAF. You will only drive in "limp home mode" with the MAF unplugged which would explain the car dieing when you go over 3000 rpms.

Do you know any way to check it?
I even tried unplugging it again and it still would not start again. I think I will go back out and try again.

Don't know any real way, but you could try cleaning it...just spray contact cleaner liberally and then let it dry...but don't touch the sensor.

Didn't do anything for it. It won't even start again.
Oh well, I have already scheduled a tow truck for in the morning.
