Tire Sizes for S80-V8

I am interested in changing my OEM 18" rims to a smaller rim and snow tire for the winter. I am worried about the AWD and choosing the correct sizes. Thanks in advance for the recommendations.

This is what a tire shop would use. Generally try to stay within 1.5% variance in overall circumference of the current wheel/tire combination.
Your current tire size should be 245/40/18.
