SRS Codes B5 231 and 232, Clear SRS Codes

I checked the codes on my 850 Turbo using the diagnostic box under the hood because my SRS light is on. I got the codes 2-3-1 and 2-3-2 which seem to be related to my seatbelt tensioners but they seem to be working fine. So, I'm trying to clear the codes by pressing the button on the A diagnostic box for 6-10 seconds then waiting for the light then holding again for same amount of time but code won't clear. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Anyone familiar with this code and also since I have no other codes related to SRS is my airbag system still okay if I get in a wreck?? Thanks in advance!

Can't answer the 'is my SRS system ok' as I can't answer that without switching the SRS light off first. Not sure if you can switch SRS codes off with the diagnostic box in 92-95 cars that have them. I know in later models you need a special tool to switch SRS issues off or in 99- Vida can do it. You may have to take it to a dealer to do it assuming they still have the equipment. Does your car have the OBD2 connector below the ashtray in the center console? I think some 95's may have had it. If it does, some aftermarket fault code tools may be able to switch SRS lights off. I know in later systems, if the light is on, it switches the system off until the issue is rectified. It may have come on by as simple a way as the system being on when the seats were worked on. So issue may be a false issue. Only way to find out is to switch the system off.
