Moving Key Fob Internal Parts to New Fob: Programming Needed???
The battery is dead, do I have to go to the dealer after replacing the key battery and putting the internals in a new fob casing?
Can’t see why I would but I thought I saw that in other posts.
Edit: the purple fob (and another one just like it) are what the seller gave me with the two keys when I purchased the car last July. He said it’s an issue of dead batteries so that’s what I’m going off of.

No, snap it together and it works. The fob makes radio signals and the systm on car has memorized the signals. Battery removal has no effect on the radio transmitter in fob parts.
