Imobaliser try again issue Topic is solved

Imobaliser try again issue

Hi I have recently had a flat battery on my volvo c30 2.0 d 2008 and replaced it, but cant start the car it wont start up at all and says imobaliser try again does anyone have any recommendations as to the issue I am facing

I don't have a reader to read them it just wont start after I leave the car for a bit it trys i can here it try buy it is brief but then nothing , I just get imobaliser try again all this after a flat battery this is stupid

Have the ignition key in POS II when jump starting the battery or when disconnecting/reconnecting the battery.

Try first cycling the key fob, close/open the doors a few times.
May also try disconnecting the car battery overnight

You might try using the slim key to lock and unlock the car 3 or more times too...this reset things on the older model cars so don't know if it will on our cars or not but it's worth a try. Typically immobilizer issues have to do with lack of power somewhere- either in the fob battery or the main battery in the car itself.

I have left the battery disconnected overnight still nothing i held down the odometer button and turned the key this gives me a code of 264 of that means anything to anyone ?

I'd check all the various fuses first. I'm not sure where they all are on the C30. Be sure to check the ones on the CEM somewhere up underneath the dash. I'm not sure those are shown in the owners manual. They might be. Disconnect the battery before pulling random fuses to look at them or you'll likely get into even more trouble.

Thank you all for you suggestions , I did try them but unfortunately nothing , had it towed to the stealers and they reloaded the ecm , all fine now , dreadfully really just due to a change of battery because it was going flat , it does say in yhe manual this is perfectly ok to to so bad on you volvo

Sorry that this was the issue and caused you a great deal of headaches.
I hate it when I have toe resort to the dealer.
